PGDAML: Post Graduate Diploma in American Literature (ODL) Apply Now

Introduction

The Post Graduate Diploma in American Literature aims to sensitize learners to different genres and aspects of American Literature. The American Novel exposes learners to the major American novelists and then we examine American drama, American theatre as distinct from American Drama—with its text, context and the performance. We then turn our attention to introducing learners to the specificities of American poetry from its origin to the modern period. And lastly we look at an integral part of the curricula at colleges and universities across the globe - literary theory and criticism, beginning from classical times, including romantic criticism, new criticism, feminist theories, deconstruction and contemporary theories.
